Is Your Earthly Temple Crumbling?

One such client left our Clearwater office not long ago, and said, "I guess for you it's not about money, big office buildings, and large mortgages is it?? Since he brought up buildings I shared with him Solomon's conversation with King Hiram in 1 Kings chapter  5. Solomon was explaining that his father, David, could not build the temple of the Lord because of the wars waged against him from every side. It was not until the Lord put his enemies under his feet and there was rest on every side could the building begin. The job to build was given to Solomon, a man of peace and not to David, a man of war. 

 

I went on further to tell this client, that we are no longer building the temple of the Lord. We are the temple of the Lord (1 Cor 6:19) and God wants his temples restored. It is our job to put the enemies (demonic torment) under our feet and experience what the Jews call “shalom shalom”. Peace on the inside and  peace on the outside. 

 

It is in this place of peace that we can be fully restored to walk in the plans and purposes God has had for us all along. Deliverance ministry can be part of that process of rebuilding and restoring our temples. The promise of peace and restoration brought this man to tears. His hope was not found in the competitive wars of the world, but in the healing word of God and his promise of restoration and healing through deliverance.
