Mafia Family Member Delivered From Spirit of Death

In modern American lore, the terms “mafia” and “death” are frequently used together in the same sentence. From a spiritual standpoint, we have seen that even “uninvolved” family members can have spirits of death (and more) operating in their life. We ministered to a woman from New York whose family (not her personally) was involved in organized crime and that spirit manifested powerfully when we called it out!

This woman had flown down from New York because she was aware of our ministry. As a believer, she understood that there were issues in her life that she knew were demonic in origin. Years of counseling, prayer, medication and anything else had not brought her the victory and she was desperate for help.

She could remember family dinners where some of the conversations around the table focused on people being killed; not your typical fare! She had come to believe that the root of her problem was likely demonic and that her family history was an important element of that.

She prepared for the deliverance ministry session by going through the teaching and homework associated with our five step process. She came in for the deliverance session prepared, hopeful and with her faith stirred up! We began the session as we always do with prayer and then dealing with major soul ties, and generational and word curses that we are aware of.

It is important to understand that this woman had no idea if there was a spirit of death operating in her life. However, given the family history, it was a reasonable assumption. When we broke curses of death over her and called out that spirit, there was a tremendous manifestation of pain and anguish and she doubled over.

We bound up that spirit and commanded it to stop hurting her and continued to call it out. It soon left her and there was a visible release in her when it happened. I know that some will have trouble believing this account but if you had witnessed it you would have seen the manifestation and the difference in her.

This woman was a believer, filled with the Holy Spirit and had not personally been involved in the family’s illegal businesses. There was however a spirit of death operating in her life that was probably assigned to her because of a generational curse or a word curse from someone else. We are less concerned with trying to determine how it got there (difficult at best) rather than making sure that the curse is broken and that the spirit leaves!

Also, because the breaking of curses and calling out a spirit of death is part of our normal process the client can get delivered even if they are unaware or unsuspecting. God knows the entry point and if the person has done their homework and prepared then they can still be delivered.
