Deliverance Myth 5: Only Pastors/Priests Should Do Deliverance
Should deliverance ministry or exorcisms be left to the "paid professionals"? Can the sheep of the flock be trained to be effective in deliverance ministry and should they?
We completed a survey , in conjunction with Rain and Company Marketing Group, about the perception of deliverance ministry in the church today.
In response, we released a five-video series. The first video dealt with whether deliverance was real and necessary for today. The second topic addressed was whether or not deliverance ministry had to include physical manifestations. This third video of the five video series looks at the issues of demonic oppression and possession and the Christian's need for deliverance. The fourth in the series addressed the danger issue and we consider an analogy to skydiving.
This fifth video, the final one, considers the issue of who should do deliverance. Can "normal" people be effective in this ministry or should it just be the pastors and leades?
